a friend of mine has contacted me re a 9 month old , smooth coated jack russel male . white with tan patches .

he is the small type and is vaccinated , friendly with dogs and kids , never met cats so we dont know that part

she has seperated from her husband and is now working full time , needless to say the little one is getting destructive left on his own for 8 hours a day so she is looking for a home for him .

also my mums friend has asked her to see if i can help her son home an older dalmation female , approx 5/6 yrs old .

again she is fully vaccinated , great with kids but can be a little off with other dogs so best suited to being the only dog .

the J.R is close to me but the dalmation is more down south way ,im not sure where but if anyone is intrested i can find out , she will be coming up here in 3 weeks as my mums friend is looking after her when they go on holiday . the dally is free to good home or if anyone knows of a dalmation rescue that would be great

thanks all :)

it will be easier to find a home for the jack but i do worry about the dally , being that bit older and having to be the only dog but i will pass these sites on , thanks again

i have now seen the jack russel and he is GORGEOUS

he is white , smooth coated with a docked tail and a tan head (w00t)

he is GREAT WITH CATS (w00t) vaccinated , neuterd and microchipped .

good with dogs and kids , not a typicall yappy jack either .

housetrained and sooooooooooo cute and tiny

he is a real character , i did get his age wrong he has just turned one .

so anyone looking fo r a livewire hes your guy

My friends just down the road from me were thinking of a JR as a second dog for company for their border collie (are they mad?). They've had two border collies in the past, but are down to one and wanted a smaller dog this time around.

I'll ask them what they think.

any pics of him sharon?im just tormenting myself now :- "

Unfortunately they have decided against a second dog for now. They did consider a JR for a while, as their collie has a JR buddy from the park who she adores, but have now added up the pros and cons, and decided one lively dog is enough for them for the time being.

ive hopefully got someone for thr jrt , homecheck being done tonight and if alls well he may be going to his new home saturday , thanks anyway nicola

still looking for a home for the dally , she is in northampton at the mo but will be coming to my mums friend in 2/3 weeks so will then be in derbyshire , ive passed on all the dally rescue info so hopefully a home will be found for her too

i may be off the comp for a few days , as i say it keeps crashing so its going to the doctors this afternoon :(

will see you all when (if) i get it back
