Hi, Welcome to K9, try posting this in General Discussion Lurchers aswell

Yep I can recommend Lurcher link

Kaye had some beautiful rough and broken coated pups looking for homes recently.

I've been resisting Otter.

Kaye and folks will find you what you want and also give great advice.

Hiya Paula.

Yup try the lurcherlink, as well as the lurcher section on here...know where your going on this I think...in terms of what your looking for...just trying to work out the stright combination of deerhoundxwhippet   just mentally picturing that union...Sorry! Slabs were involved somewhere...

Do you have a benchmark of what size/coat/nature you are after? Every best wish to find what your after, everyone on here will help I'm sure :luck:

Why not try a bedlington X whippet- they look like little deerhounds- there is a thread in lurchers with some gorgeous pics of hairy beddy crosses

OEH may well be right in directing you to bedxwhippets.

Constantly come up on people saying their house is'nt big enough for a deerhound...which I cannot understand, I do not live in anything very large, in fact its a 3 bedroom with 4 kids (and all the bikes, toys, visiting friends etc., they entail) oh, and furniture, and I find a deerhound or large lurcher takes up very little houseroom... I'm too lazy to bend down to put a lead on so thats a big plus in the big un's favour :teehee:

Deerhounds and deerhound x's curl up very small. They can fit into an ordinary armchair.

They make for an easier going dog than a bedlington x does in my opinion. A terrier x sighthound isn't going to be like a sighthound x sighthound.
