Hello everyone!

I've just found this forum and just wanted to introduce myself.

I'm V and have a 2 year old whippet rescue (Aalto) who we found at Battersea Dogs home in February this year.

He's fantastic and we love having him, in fact we don't know how we got on in life without having a whippet in the house before!

The only thing is, he's a bit anti social. He doesn't have any manners around other dogs and can work himself up into a frenzy of barking and lunging :unsure: at other doggies out on walks. We're taking him to social classes now, and he does seem to be getting a bit better - phew! - as walkies can be a bit of an ordeal!

He's beautiful - and if it's any consolation one of my whippets has started barking at other dogs recently after he was was on the receiving end of another dog's grumpiness. He's not anti-social, he just likes to get the first bark in! You may find the barking means he wants to play - and if he tries it with another whippet first at least the owner will know how weird whippet play can be :wacko:

When my Oscar and his brother Eskil are rough and tumbling they sound as if they want to kill each other and yet have never made a mark!!
