thought as I had posted on introductions that we have two dogs I should let you all know that Dixie is no longer living with us. We made a difficult decision to find her a new home purely for the fact although she wasn't unhappy here with us she definitely was not reaching her full potential. We are an active family and took Dixie everywhere with us and when we couldn't she went to a dog sitter who has 3 dogs of his own etc. We have fostered dogs before but have never come across such a bundle of chaotic energy. We spent a fortune on classes, socialisation etc. Anyway after a gruelling 2 weeks of weeding out some right nutters who can't read an advert properly Dixie has gone to home 5 minutes down the road from us to a home with one child, no cats and a huge fully enclosed garden. Her new owner is in the TA (Dixie goes running etc with him) and his parents run another local dog training class and Dixie has settled in amazingly well doing agility and training working dog trials. We see her seen every week as I have popped into the classes and her new owners have agreed for me to pop in every Friday to check in on her. She is doing well and seems a tad calmer (well she is a parsons so she is a very independant little character)

It was a really really hard decision and very upsetting however I feel lucky it a has all worked out well. Winston was a little down for a few days but soon recovered and has been for a few walks with Dixie on the Fridays :)

Ah that is sad, I'm glad Dixie has settled into her new home :flowers:
