Just watching Nelson Mandala's-(correct spelling? hope so) Birthday Party bash on TV............

Which 2 people would you invite to a dinner party and why?

I'll start.............shallow as my choices may be....

Stephen Fry......He's got so much to say, wisdom and humour???

Amy Winehouse....... Love her....so talented yet tragic.....

Karen...

Well if your having Stephen Fry, I'll have Hugh Laurie. ( I love both of them)

My other choice would be Jeremy Clarkson (just reading one of his books at the mo)

Could I have Anthony Hopkins and Morgan Freeman as back up? :- "

Yessssssssssss...Clarice............ (w00t)

Andrew Marr, a very interesting man, and Joan Bakewell. I think they would make very interesting dinner guests.

Or, Alan Bates, the actor, love his films. Then Germaine Greer, wow, that would be an interesting party, if you also included Bob Dylan and Tina Turner. Not allowed two choices, but couldn't resist! :- "

If I held the dinner party in the UK I would invite

Tim Severin

He wrote "The Brendan Voyage" Story of adventure - how a crew sailed a medieval boat, made of leather, across the Atlantic.

He could talk about so much that never made it into the book.

and

Sir Francis Chichester

Great aviator and Yachtsman

If the dinner party was held in Australia

Kay Cottee

An Australian and the first woman to sail single handed, non-stop and unassisted around the world via the Southern Ocean.

and

Nancy Wake - The Gestapo called her "The White Mouse"

An Australian who became one of the most highly decorated woman of World War ll

That would be a great party!!!

I would like as my dinner guests the Chairman of The Kennel Club and the editor of Dog World. Should make for an interesting dinner and a more than interesting copy of Dog World the following week, providing of course the Chairman answered the questions I had lined up for him. ;)

I would invite Andrew Marr too and Michael Palin because of his crinkly eyes and he reminds me of my dad.
