I was hosing out the kennels on Christmas morning - had just put the dogs out there and filled up their water bowls (big ones). Chip, my visiting Iggy, was in the kennel behind me as I was hosing out Dino and Aime's.

I heard this big PLOP! behind me and thought "Oh no - couldn't be a toad in the water bowl at this time of the morning and in this heat, surely" and turned around to see Chip, curled up neatly in the terracotta water bowl - he fitted in it so perfectly and the water covered his body and just came up to his neck.

I laughed so loud that he got out and looked at me - as if to say "What's so funny?"

But I thought it was hysterical - my whippets hate water and even in this terrible heat would not go and lay in a little "swimming pool" :teehee:

I wish I had've had a camera - but even if I did I would have been laughing too much to take the pic. :lol:

wow, it must be hot there!

Genie would not dream of even getting her toes wet, Zoe has gone in up to her knees so she could get closer to bark at an innocent terrier passing on the other side of a stream and I was amazed at that (w00t)

I wish you had a camera with you too
