Hi I have a 9 month old puppy a shitzu we love her to bits but since we have had her I am really ill has soon has I'm at home with her I can't breath out my nose my eyes are watery sneezing and now I have started wezzing I'm on piraton nose inhaler I feel terrible I have bought dander spray for the house plz can anyone help has we do love her .

So sorry to hear this. I cannot offer much advice really. I wonder if bathing her might help. Dogs generally do not need bathing unless they roll in something disgusting but it might reduce the dander?

I hate to bring this up but you hear lots of people having to part with their pets due to allergy problems. If this ever does happen, and I really hope it does not, then do use someone like Dogs Trust to help you. There are lots of unscrupulous people out there.

I would keep her coat short, make sure you vacuum and dust regularly, go and see your Dr to see if anything can be done to alleviate your symptoms.

If you decide you can't live with allergies then please please don't post her on something like scum tree or face book. Ask a rescue for help because they will homecheck people properly

I was just thinking ..have you been around dogs before? Did u have this reaction around them ? Have you had a proper allergy test done to confirm its your dogs fur?. Allergies can developed at any time in our lives ..you may find its not actually the dog that you are allergic to

I think you can get special shampoo that is supposed to reduce the dander, I don't know how effective it is. Is it possible that with summer coming you can have Windows and doors open more and be outside more, which might help too?

Thank you everyone I would try anything rather than get rid of her and I would never put her on websites or Facebook I am so against them sites .I have been to doctors that's were I had my medication from for me I used to have a laso apso and I was fine with her in fact lilly is the double of Maisey that we used to have but a different breed I will do all I can to treat myself but it is affecting my breathing I really don't know what to do ....thank you everyone for replying .

It is strange, Shih Tzu's and Lasa Apso's were originally one breed so I would expect any allergy to be common between them. Sorry cant give any advice.
