All the same isn't it? Both at times gives you a kick where it hurts, when I got my 2 dogs both 6 months ish I knew they both get old together and losing them would hurt, lost my brindle last aug and black dog just suffered a stroke, he's alive and on tabs, I can take illness in myself I'm hard that way but when my dogs are I'll I'm at my worse, then my cousin get very sick , then 24 hours ago a very close pal gets a severe lung problem, I don't regret getting any of my dogs but geez it hurts as we all know,, anyway that's my Friday rant and a few whiskys over, take care of your mutts and enjoy every second .

Hey. Sorry to hear this, I know you won't want virtual hugs but tough; I'm sending them anyway. I hope that whisky is a decent Islay and not a vanilla Speyside.

So sorry to hear your dog is poorly. We feel so helpless don't we? The good thing is that they have no idea of the implications of their illness. They just take each day as it comes and get on with it. Virtual hugs here too.

Thanks both ,, Joanna you sound like you enjoy a wee dram lol, sorry to dissapoint it was a speyside whisky but it was a sherry finish hehehe, I'm not big on a full blown peat islay but I do drink them from time to time, bunnahabhain from islay is my drink.

Sorry to hear this lurcherman. Don't give up hope to soon. I had a whippet who had a massive seizure when about 10. Was paralysed from the chest down .The vet questioned stroke but I could see in her eyes that she was up for the fight so the vet agreed to let me take her home for 24 hours. I did physio on her every hour, nipped her little feet to make her pull them away

Upshot was pretty soon I got her back on her feet and functioning normally it was hard work but it was doable and she lived another few years perfectly happily.

All the best.

Thanks dogmatize, only today he looked a wee bit better in eyes but still not right, at 14 n half I will pull the pin if I think it's right, if he gets no worse then I can cope ,, thanks too all ..

Sorry to read this. I hope your dog makes a good recovery and lifts your spirits (no pun intended) soon.
