got stopped by a man in a car today asking if i knew of any big breed dogs like bulldogs mastiffs type in this area, i said yes a few also sying theres one over in that cul de sac, not saying it was the one but all nearly fits, type colour the person walking it, i gave the bloke who was almost in tears another area where ive seen one, did i do the right thing,? around ere they hate a grass

sorry forgot to say the blokes dog was savaged last night and was hanging on just in vets, it was a smooth collie that got savaged, local park also.

No - I think you did the right thing.

If my dog was attacked by someone's dog and they didn't stop and make sure my dog was okay, I would want to find them also - not to shout or attack them but to make sure they were held responsible and also to stop it happening to anyone else's dog.

Oh my word :(

Terrifying...

You did the right thing, honestly.

Yes you did the right thing. It's fact a lot of dogs fight before you get chance to stop it .its only manners and curtesy to make sure the injured dog and its owner are ok.
