I've had an ongoing battle with a destructive force disguised as a lurcher  he is caged overnight so that we have a house left in the morning!!! To be honest he has calmed down a lot :sweating: & has a lovely nature. The bedding problem was he liked to create his own version of shred-a-bed, duvets, vet bed, foam plus various forms of home made beds all ended up in bits. The only thing I didn't use were bean bags.......previous experience of a snow storm in the sitting room deterred me

I've fitted board round the cage about 6ins high & plastic sheet fitted round the bottom (a bit like the ones you get for bird cages). Then got some shredded newspaper that they use for horse bedding & filled the cage to same depth as the wood. Lovely comfy bed but ended up with a blue/grey coloured dog instead of white from the print :( After a rethink I add in a lot of our shredded documents & bills(best place for them), after a good shake as it can be dusty mix it with newspaper, dog now stays white & comfy

Maybe I'll patent it :teehee: :teehee:

not sure about patanting it........

but you should certainly PHOTOGRAPH it!

Best thing to do Mao, is like young urchin says, stick your camera in its cage, take photo, bang it up on k9, and i will do my bestest just fer you to retrieve your bank details, sort code etc.

keith

I also own a shredder (and learnt the hard way with bean bags  )

Now when they're not in the cage they just have one of those cheap plastic dog beds filled with blankets. They love it! They have tried to chew it in earnest, to no avail  Now they know who the master is (w00t)
