So I'm getting a puppy it will be Staff 3/4 staff 1/4 bull whippet I've tried looking on the net maybe not typing the right words or stuff to find some information out on this breed and size when adult . The gentlemen started he was going to put them in a dogs home and I didn't want that so I thought I would take it .. I pick it up next friday when it will be 10 weeks old .. hopefully I made sense tho I normally don't lol

Right, staffy x so train it well and socialize it so it likes dogs, so it's got whippet so make sure you can run hahaha.

If you can see the mother that will give a clue as to the size. With crossbreeds the size and shape can vary. Some can look just like the mother while others in the same litter can look just like the father! Others will look like neither as they may resemble a grandparent. the pup should not be huge though when full grown.

Your cross breed should be a good mix. The Staffy makes a loving companion and so does the Whippet. Make sure you train a reliable recall early :)

As lurcherman has said, it is very important to socialise all puppies but particularly strong willed ones. You are playing catch up already if they are 10 weeks old. You have a window up to the age of 12/13 weeks when it is really easy as the puppy's brain will just absorb everything. After that they go through a fear period when they can make bad associations that may last for the rest of their lives.

Try to search out a Puppy Socialisation Class run by a member of the APDT and get enrolled now.
