Hi everyone, I'm new to these forums and thought I'd start by asking for some recommendations/advice.

Our doggy mobile recently failed its MOT. We hope it still can be sorted, but it could be time for a new car...

We have a Springer Spaniel and a Kooikerhondje, and they travel in those fabric crates you can get in Pets at Home.

Our current car is a Suzuki Wagon R, which is ideal as rear seats fold completely flat, it's not too big and we can fit enough luggage in with our boys for a week away.

We'd like something similar, as we live on a street where parking is tight, we'd rather not have a big estate, or a large 4X4. We need the rear seats to fold completely flat as well.

I like the look of the Citroen Berlingo, C3 Picasso, Skoda Roomster to name a few. Any suggestions more than welcome!

Thank you

I have Citroen Berlingo car from my work

My dog does not like (neither me) its incomphatible totally seats

there is a lot of space, relatively to usual sedan car in this Berlingo, but the seats like wooden..

At the other side, my dog loves to have a ride in our private Mitsubishi Galant 98

Maybe it will be usefull for you to read some info about Dog and Car here - >>>> http://www.dogica.com/car.html

No matter, which car you will buy, but keep your doggy safe on the trips. Its the important thingie!

Hia, good luck with choosing a car...im rubbish at stuff like that..i need a new run around for work and ive just asked my hubby if he can find me a small one that will fit my dogs crate in the back and maybe in green :D ..he just rolled his eyes hahahahaha

but seriously...about crates..if your doggies are travelling in crates i would try and look for crash tested metal ones to protect your fur babies from harm. If someone crashes into the back of you, they will have no protection in the mesh ones at all..also because they are so light weight it won stop them flying into the front passenger or driver, possibly killing you. :(

I have the Berlingo. We bought it because our old dog had trouble accessing our old car. The Berlingo has a very low floor threshold which makes it easier for the dog to get in and out. The seats fold flat and it has a huge amount of room in it.

The down side is that, as has been said, it does drive like a van. The seats are quite hard. The Berlingo Desire has loads of little cubby holes for storing doggy stuff.
