Hi

I’m after a bit of advice from a dog groomers perspective.
I’m looking at opening a dog grooming salon and there’s a property available locally which is upstairs in a shopping parade. The stairs are wide, metal and undercover so won’t get too wet when it rains. What are your thoughts about a dog groomers upstairs? For example, our local groom room is in pets at home and is upstairs with the vets so people are having to use the stairs to get access. All be it there is a small disabled lift. I’m not sure whether stairs would put people off coming. Thoughts please?
Thanks

Hmm, some dogs aren't massive fans of stairs, especially if it's a relatively busy shopping area. Also some people will find them difficult or impossible. So with no lift alternative, you'd have to bare in mind that from the off there will be a customer base that won't be able to access you.
It would be worth you doing some market research at the shopping place and in your local area and get feedback from the people who may potentially want to use your service. Goodluck!
