My 3 1/2 yo black lab was sick all day Thursday, so he was given an anti-emetic at the vets and we were told to keep an eye on him. He's still refusing food 2 days later, although he is drinking water occasionally. He seems to want to eat, but nothing I offer him is tempting him.

The vet says she is not too concerned, and perhaps I am over reacting, but he is so sad and subdued at home I was wondering if anyone knows anything I can try to make him feel better?

I don't think you are over reacting. Being sick is a way of ridding the body of harmful substances or objects. Could your dog have swallowed something which it is unable to get rid of, ie a small plastic toy or wrapper. My friend's young dog was sick two or three times last week and then vomited up the arm of a Barbie doll! It''s amazing what dogs can swallow. If there is something still 'stuck' I don't suppose your dog feels able to eat. I would have another word with the vet. If your dog wasn't fussy before this I think it should be taken seriously.
