Hi Guys,

I have a very active dalmatian who is now 3 1/2 years old. If we go for a jog he will run with me for 10km no problem as long as he gets some water on the way.

However somedays we go to the woods and throw sticks for him. His favourite game. He will go and go and go. We often do this for about 15 to 20 minutes, and he does not stop sprinting the whole time.

However when we get back I noticed his panting super fast for a good 15 minutes or so. It always freaks me out, always. After that he seems fine.

Is this usual? I’ve never owned Dog before. I think it’s okay but wanted to check .

Thanks

Dan

That sounds like a long time to me but I'm not an athlete.

You know yourself as an athlete there is a big difference between a jog and a sprint when it comes to your breathing and control. If he seems overly out of breath slow things down oh and stick throwing is a risky game..
