Aggie is campaigning for greater bed rights and wants to ask you a question

I'd love to, but my dog leaps up if I so much as twitch an eyelash

If i just had one dog they would be allowed in our room but on their own bed .during the night ..
They do come on the bed every weekend after our morning walk i go back to bed with tea and biscuits ...we have a large bed but 3 lurchers and 2 Jack russells is too many ....when we go away in our motorhome the jack russells sleep on our bed ....

Jasper sleeps on his own bed next to ours - apart from the occasional night when he chooses to sleep downstairs

Currently Aggie starts off in the living room and then we let her in about 6am so she can try her best to lever us both off with her giant Lurcher legs I mean Cuddle Us.

She also makes a beeline for bed naps during the day if we leave the bedroom door open. In her view she knows this is the Humans Nest and as she is basically human why shouldn’t she sleep here...:rolleyes:

Ours doesn't get to go upstairs. She has numerous dog beds plus an armchair and a sofa. Previously I have always had a dog sleep either on my bed or beside it in their own, but as they get older, stairs become an issue, so when my last "upstairs" dog died, this one continued to sleep downstairs.

I have no criticism whatever of dogs on the bed as long as it isn't uncomfortable. It can be very bonding.

I don't agree with dog on the bed, but dog had been allowed to sleep on the bed and at 7 years old I wasn't going to make changes. As it happens 3 years on his cruciate rupture has put him in a night crate out of our control.

Folly sleeps with me, under the duvet. I am always amazed on hot nights in summer she still gets under it even though I'm lied on top. And although theirs a duvet between us she still positions herself to be touching me as far as possible.

Mabel sleeps in her own bed bedside mine during the night but jumps up onto my bed in the morning for a roll on back, kicking her legs in the air and a cuddle.

Yes to small dogs, if they want to, but no to big ones - sharing the bed with a greyhound is most uncomfortable!!
