I cannot help you as I would never consider a DIY job with a stapler (even if I knew what it was - I only know the office kind) To use one of those on my dog without pain relief sounds barbaric!

I think you sould take your dog to a vet ASAP.

I know people who use vet staplers .....They say they are great .....Its the usual 10 days plus AB's if needed ..(which are easy enough to buy on line) ....... Most of my lot get stitched up by my vets whilst they are conscious ........ :luck:
