hi all, hope someone could give me some advice. my 11 year old spaniel had a sedation on thursday morning to remove grass seed from paw. i waited in the vets for her and we were home in about and hour and a half. she was very sleepy which was to be expected and during the day she had about 5 accidents in her sleep. friday she was fine all day as i let her out in garden alot and she didnt have any accidents, but friday night in her sleep she wet in her bed again. she has been drinking alot of water since friday morning. no accidents today been out and done lots of wees in garden but still drinking alot. only seems to happen when she is asleep and only since sedation. i have my fingers crossed for tonight have had to wash so many towels and dog bedding since thursday i almost run out. i rang vets this morning just to check they said if same monday bring her in for check. i guess i wondered if anyone knew if this was normal after a sedation in this time span. she is eating fine, drinking loads and has been playing. thanks

I can't say if this is normal but I understand that sedation, especially in an older dog, can sometimes take a while to leave the system...you have done the right thing though by asking your vet, with a plan to bring her in if it continues. Fingers crossed the issue resolves in the meantime.
