Just wondered if anyone else's dogs have had a tummy upset lately? Megan was really sick yesterday and today she is really quiet and a bit hot. Now one of the cats seem to have it, as she has been sick 5 times so far today :( My luck the other 3 will get it as well. At least no diaorhea yet from any of them :- " Must be a bug going about I think :(

my tia was the same the other day just the sickness no diaorhea, she was fine following day so i just put it down to her eating somit dodgy while out on our walk could well have been a bug thou ,hope ther feeling better soon :huggles: :luck:

Glad your pup is much better :) Bet you were worried sick :( Megan seems to be back to her normal self and thankfully the cat seems to be better and touch wood the rest haven't caught it :sweating:

I looked at the title of this topic and thought it read

'Doggy Gastric Band'..........oh i thought my Sada

could do with one of those

Spoke to soon :( Had to rush my cat to the emergency vet tonight at 7.15pm as My vet hands over to them at 6.30pm. My cat had diaorhea, then was sick and drooling and staggering all over the place and panting with her tongue out. It was awful. I thought she was going to take a heart attack or something. When I called the emergency vet, they said it would be £110 before they even looked at her (w00t) They ran some blood tests and phoned me to say it wasn't her kidneys but were really concerned, as they ran tests to see what her sugar levels were at and they should be 12 and they were 29 (w00t) So the vet said she may be diabetic, however she called me agin a few hours ago and thankfully they have came down to normal again :- " They have kept her in over night on a drip and said I should be able to get her back in the morning if all is ok. The bill will be between £450 and £500 all I can say is thank god she is insured. I phoned the Marks and Spencer hotline and they said there shouldn't be a problem, but the emergency vet has asked me to pay them tomorrow and I have to get the money back from the insurance! Now one of the other cats has been sick and had an upset tummy I hope he doesn't get as bad as the one in the vet that was scary tonight, I honestly thought her time was up :( Don't know how I would have managed if it had turned out to be diabetes as I am not good with needles and would have felt bad injecting her . It must be a very strong virus as the cat is an indoor cat and seems to have picked it up from the dog. Hope the dog doesn't get it back as she was only sick and hot for a day or two.

Thanks :) Glad it is all clear now at your end  Rinda had a good night and was put on fluids and was so much better this morning, her levels are nearly all back to normal. I picked her up at 8am and got handed a bill for £354.50 (w00t) So wasn't as expensive as she first thought, as she didn't give her extra tests or antibiotics this morning because of her being more settled. Just hope Marks and Spencer don't take forever to pay me back, that's hoping they do pay me back. She's had some white fish since she has came home so hopefully she'll keep it down :- " She is having a sleep on the sofa feeling sorry for herself cleaning her shaved leg, they had to shave a load of fur off her neck as well, bless her.
