I'm just going to post some pix & anecdotes about the dogs i see on the street, whether passing strangers or neighborhood residents.

This was a bit of a shock on Monday -
on busy MassAve near Symphony Hall, 2 loose dogs with a coupler joining them, following a leashed dog with the owner. // There are 4 lanes of heavy traffic, including articulated buses & 18-wheelers, 40-ft touring buses, 4-ton duckboats, & speeding cars --- plus bikes, skateboards, & peds on sidewalks.

The GSD-x is obv expected to bring the Pom along with him.
Only the Shih-Tzu in the lamb-clip is on leash, with someone holding that leash!

This is after they turned onto a side-street - the loose dogs were loitering 20-ft or more behind her consistently; she only stopped to let them catch-up when she saw me get ready to take a photo, on MassAve.
What's holding her up now is the Shih-Tzu - he's sniffing & refuses to move, U can see him leaning to the right, balking.

I know leashes are a pain - esp'ly with multiple dogs, *but* - they keep dogs & passersby safe. // Leashes are the cheapest insurance ever.

I give the GSD-x points for his diligence, but i'd serve a summons on the owner, if i were an ACO.

Sky, my wkend-client's granddog, looking amazingly angelic [he's asleep]. :p

    Screen Shot 2018-05-10 at 9.10.55 PM.png

Sky's an island-dog rescue, he was feral & living day to day on trash & occasional handouts; he has stunningly bad knees & hocks, plus his elbows are unstable - he can pose in ways that are truly weird, impossible for dogs with normal joints.
So altho his adopters strive mightily to put wt on him, i'm just as happy he's lean - if he ever gets pudgy, he'll be in agony from those awful joints. If he gets obese, he'll be near-crippled. // The longer he's scrawny & healthy, the better for him!

When he's awake, he's a PITA - every door in the house is closed when he visits, as he obsessively checks floors & trashcans for potentially-edible items. // I've taken trimmed tubing from my client's leg-bags from him, when the stinker took it out of the bathroom trash; he was chewing it like bubble-gum.
He licks the floors as tho it's a religious experience - eyes closed, long slow slurps. He's incorrigible, but it was his puphood & yoot that built this OCD habit - always hungry, scanning, always moving.

    She's a sweetie, very good with the 3-YO grand-niece. :) About 40#, a little pudgy.
Another Southern-states rescue from a high-kill shelter - hound, terrier, + a snippet of Pibble.

This dog lives in the Symphony Hall area - he's very fat, a mini-Aussie that looks like an undersized Euro-type Rottie, barrel-shaped & stubby, dressed in somebody's rya rug for Hallowe'en - he absolutely waddles, & his fat wiggles like Jell-o as he walks. :(

my favorite lurcher - he lives in the Symphony Hall area, with his owner, a lovely lady:

    Screen Shot 2018-05-11 at 9.04.17 AM.png

sorry, the light caught the tapetum in his eyes, but U can see his lovely coat - it's very unusual, soft loose wavy locks, with long single white hairs breaking thru the charcoal-grey curls & standing out above them. The single hairs are not wiry, they're soft, & they look like butterfly antennae all over his body, erect & alert.

    Screen Shot 2018-05-11 at 9.03.48 AM.png

he has a very nice disposition, friendly but not effusive, & very confident in that noisy, crowded neighborhood; buses run every 5-mins, ambulances & fire equipment are common, there's a 4-ft wide bike-path that shares the 20-ft sidewalk, a dozen shops with clientele in & out at all hours, & he's completely at home. :)
