We hope all our regulars are there as well as a few new faces from this year.

don't forget to check k9 before you leave home to make sure everything is going ahead. Any changes will be on by 7.30 am on Sunday morning.

See you there, Jen and Terry.

THERE IS KENNEL COUGH IN DEVON, APPARENTLY CAUGHT AT THE STEVENSTONE SHOW IF YOU WERE THERE PLEASE DO NOT COME TO OUR RACING ON SUNDAY. 3 YEARS AGO IT WAS BOUGHT TO US AND ALL THE DOGS ENDED UP WITH IT AND 2 OLD LURCHERS AND A LABRADOR NEARLY DIED.

IT IS NOT WORTH PUTTING EVERYONE AT RISK, JUST FOR A ROSETTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SO PLEASE ACT SENSIBLY AND WE HOPE TO SEE THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO IT AT THE TOWN AND COUNTRY FAIR ON THE 12TH JUNE.

MANY THANKS FOR BEING SO SENSIBLE AND CARING FOR THE DOGS. JEN AND TERRY.

Jen, does this ban also apply to vaccinated dogs that were at the said show ?? Obviously proof of vaccination can been seen....

Yes it does also apply to vacinated dogs as the vet says it gives them a milder dose of the disease but they can still catch it and pass it on to other dogs.

Following veterinary advice we have decided to ask anyone who attended the Stevenstone NOT TO ATTEND our race meeting on Sunday. I am sorry about this because it has not only messed up a lot of people's plans but has also has made the Final Days Racing for us a total nightmare.

This has been no easy decision but as responsible organisers we feel we should put the dogs not affected first and not ruin their day as well as everyone elses.

At the end of the day this is just about points and rosettes and if this is more important than keeping the dogs healthy, sorry we don't go there. By keeping it contained as far as possible it will mean shows will be able to go ahead as usual this summer.Especially the Hunt Shows as they have more dogs to worry about than any of us.

Any points winners can pick up there prize at the Town and Country Fair and the Whippet Stake winners will recieve their's as well at this show.

All results will be posted on k9 and in the Countrymans Weekly.

I know of a dog who was diagnosed with KC 10 days after Ilsington. Most of the South West lurchers were there so if you want to ensure the infection is contained as much as possible then you might be better off to cancel tomorrow completely
