friggin safestyle

we got that bargain "dropped down price" to

our patio doors they fitted 18 months ago, leak, won't shut without brute force in the summer, don't lock in the winter without swinging from the handle, it's cracked all round the edge, the non scratch glass we paid for is well...scratched, the frame has dropped down, probably because of the big gap they left underneath with the frame resting on plastic wedges, they disturbed surrounding bricks when fitting it, (the bricks actually pull out) they haven't even tried cementing them back in,

i've tried getting them out to sort it and just keep getting told "we'll have someone round to fix it in the next couple of weeks"... been trying to get them round for over a year

and the cheeky beggars still keep cold calling to see if i want windows fitting

yep ours are safestyle and agree with beaker  dont bother, ours are rubish!

and we went for the expencive(sp) ones!!!! perhaps you would be better going to a local company if there is one near you.

Oh.My.Goodness!

Julie if I were you, I'd try a local company, personally I wouldn't touch Safestyle but that's cos I think their employees are so rude (the ones we've encountered, round here, are rude when you tell them "no thank you" for cold-calling).

See if anyone you know can recommend a local company, word of mouth is a good reference, if someone's happy with the work supplied they will say so (and likewise if a firm has done a bad job).

I'm sure you'll get a far better deal with a local bloke anyway.

WOW !

thanks, glad I asked. Put me right off them. Have to say the salesgirl was lovely, not rude/persuasive.

I just can't stand the way they start high and pretend to give you a good deal etc.

Beaker and Mel can't you quote them on their 10 years guarantee and all their certificates for the best after sales service.

She told me that they are National company and therefore fit £2.4 million windows each week (that's probably 10 houses :D ) if you rang them and told them you're going to continue to put potential future customers off until they've fixed your job, they might pull their finger out.
