Doyle came to us from a local pound so we don't have any history on him, but he seems to be a lively young lad who just needs someone to bring him on. He's quickly learnt "sit" and "wait" whilst with us and comes when he's called. He gets on well with the other dogs and is clean and quiet in his kennel - though he loves playing in the outside run. He can be a bit of a Houdini in the kennels too, you have to be extra careful he doesn't slip out as you open the door and he is a bit of a jumper too....which is probably how he ended up in the stray pound! Although, since he's been neutered, he's calming down a bit. We think he's about 12-18 months old and he's got some Saluki blood, looking at his build and markings. He would be better rehomed to an active family preferably with a slightly older dog / bitch to play with him but keep him in check when he gets too giddy!

Doyle is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.

Doyle is currently in W Yorkshire. If you'd like to know more about him, email:

Reading about this handsome hound on Lurcher Link, it appears they would be interested in getting him out of kennels and into a foster home even if there is no current interest from anyone in giving Doyle a permanent home. He's been on the waiting list since July (most recent posting at Lurcher Link was just yesterday)

We're always keen to get dogs into foster homes.... you find out so much more about how they are in a 'home' situation, and they learn too!! We're very short of foster carers. Lurcher Link will pay all costs including insurance, vets fees, food etc. If you think you would like to offer a foster place please contact Kaye on kaye@lurcherlink.org and she'll put you in touch with the homechecking team!

Doyle meanwhile is still waiting...... this is what one of his walkers said about him .....

"I walked the lovely Doyle today and he was lovely. He didn't pull most of the time and I even got some leans from him when I was stood still. He is just a lovely boy who needs someone to cuddle up to."

:)

I'm thrilled to say that Doyle's been rehomed.... and is now a McLurcher in Bonnie Scotland!!! Thanks for everyone's interest!!!
