Hello.
We have a Jack Russell puppy, who will be 6 months by January 2014. We have had dogs in the past but have never travelled with them abroad. We would like to drive down to Spain through France for 3 weeks in January. We have already decided to go on Eurotunnel as he will be able to stay with us in the car. We have loosely planned out a route, taking 3 or 4 overnight stops and have found some pet friendly hotels. He is very good in the car and we have time to build up to longer journeys.
One thing we are worried about is being able to stop and exercise him along the way as we don't want him to be cooped up in the car for hours without being able to have a walk. As, a lot of the route will be on motorways, we need to do some research about places we intend to stop and try and find suitable places to exercise him.
If anyone has had any experience of doing this or can make any suggestions, I would be very grateful.
I hope I have posted this in the right forum.
Looking forward to some replies. Thank you.
Here's a picture of him.
