Morning all! Pleased to report another good lure coursing event yesterday. We ran 3 stakes including a 16 dog Bitch Trophy. The course was about 600 metres(my estimate) over grass on several levels. The weather was fine, a beautiful Norfolk autumn day in every way. I ran Saucey Madam and The Shiner (Lynperry Plain of Boston, one of Corky's mutts :D ) both did very well in the purse and had three runs each in total, The Madam taking a trip and a somersault and still winning her course on one occasion. I was a keen hare courser for several seasons and regret its passing and the manner in which it was done but this lure coursing is pretty damn good and life of course must go on.

Best wishes

Lampy

 Well done to Saucy Madam and The Shiner

Seems even a spot of gymnastics didn't stop her getting that lure (w00t)

Hi lampy Great to see you & your club have taken to lure coursing so well & are all enjoying the sport keep us posted on your events & good luck to Saucy Madame & the shiner in future meetings although live coursing has now gone taken away by big brother its time to move forward

:luck: good luck in your new sport :luck:

Sounds like you had a good day Lampy,

have you got any pics.

Hi Mark. We had a photographer at the meeting and hopefully he had some good pics but we will not see them until after our next meeting at Ashill. You have been there. Haven't managed to discuss the interclub aspect yet, but I will do. The last meeting I was on hols and the one before that I had to leave quickly to get to the vets. Make sure you look after Lesley and that Spry. Her sister is waiting in the wings and she is going to be awesome. 25lb plus already and runs like ............ a couple of months more and she will be competing in trials. I am hopeful, as we all are of our dogs.

See you soon I hope

Chris

Cheers Chris.

i've descussed the inter-club with Andrea and she's set it for the 26th November, unfortunatly anyone running a dogs would need to be members of the CA (as per the EAWCC rules) most of our members due to never having coursed aren't members of the CA so it would work out very expensive for them. (Entry £13, CA membership £70 joint "ish for joint", fuel cost say £60,card on the day £5 each) so each member running a dog would be looking at up to £150.

on top of that the 26th is when we are racing at Belle Vue Greyhound track (DVD of the race will hopefully be available)

Sprys comming along nicely, she's realy focused and loves the chasing game, i'm sure she would of loved the chase on live.
