friend of mine has asked me a question she has an 8 month old, miniture schnauzer, and she has just found some blood, also besides stools, and wondered if she was in season or is it internal bleeding, any help or advice plz.

Do you mean blood in the stools or blood dotted around??

It could be she's in season as she is of age, has the owner looked at the dog, is there blood coming from its vagina, is she swollen???

Dogs can sometimes get a small amount of blood in their stools also, if they are straining to go, they can sometimes burst little blood vessels and they heal themselves. If it keeps happening then the dog may need extra fibra in its diet.

If the blood doesn't apear to be coming from the dogs stools or its vagina then it will need medical attention.

agree with helly,also is the blood bright red or dark red?
