I'm sure I'm getting more blunt with people as I age...

Outside our local Boots this morning I saw a girl (11ish?) holding a gorgeous tiny spaniel puppy so if course I had to go over and say hello. The girl told me she was 9 weeks old and this was her first outing into the big wide world.

The poor dog was looking really anxious, started when a car's horn hooted, and tried to scramble up the girl's shoulder when others approached to stroke her:( So I gave her a lecture (hopefully in a friendly tone) about how all early experiences need to be positive ones and if she's scared, which she clearly was, then perhaps it's too much for her right now... and so on and so forth.

I hope she didn't think I was being rude and that she'll think about it and talk to her mum - who was inside the shop - about it.

Aww poor little pup, lets hope the girl took it in and they leave it a couple of weeks now. I think it all depends what type of personality your pup has, some would adore that situation, that pup clearly didnt so what was the point. Well done on trying to help x
