eastayrshire are holding our T.T.open this sunday 15/08/04, who,s coming as there will be food laid on for all. presention jackets for all winners.

the track is in perfect condition with all the rain we,ve been geting.

four weight classes 20,25,30,35 dogs & bitches sep.

pups, yearlings & vets, up to 25, up to 35, all in

racing 150 yds 2ft/lb 1st & 2nd through in heats

also 40lb & no limit scr

weigh in 10am to 12 noon

the 2ft/lb always gives us a better race with some close finishes

any body that has been to eastayrshire say they have had a fabulous days racing

from south m74 turn off A70 jun-9 for ayr

follow A70 aprox 25 miles to cumnock

into cumnock bottom of hill turn left at lights over bridge, then 1st right as soon as you get over bridge in to wood road park, track is at the very end.

dont know how or why this open has been put on the same time as bwra north/yorks SAMSARA open, all of a sudden it appears in the w/n callender NO WONDER opens are badly attended

You could say the same about Worcester weekend being on the same time as the Scottish Derby which i believe is classed as a classic.Its time the northern clubs took the lead and got together and did something that seems to be lacking in all aspects of Whippet racing THAT BEING APPLY SOME COMMONSENSE and try to help each other, I Hope someone will.And very SOON.

This open is on the same time as last year . So it hasn,t suddenly appeared we were ther last year and even though cinnamon come off injured we had a brilliant time and we are going this year and we don,t have anything to run ourselves. mam is running jorja fox.

if you go back in your W/N it as just been put in this months copy,i understood that opens had to be submitted before APRIL ,NOW BOTH OPENS WILL SUFFER

john i wud imagine the majority of n east racers and n yorks racers will go to murton and the scottish people will go to scotland but i do understand where u r coming from.. there shud only be 1 open allowed on each sat and sun unless of course one is way south and one is way north. a problem which will probably never be solved. lets hope both opens r well attended and there is some good injury free racing at both. :luck: :luck: :luck:

A big thanks to East Ayrshire WRC for a great days racing. On arrival you could see the effort that went into getting the track ready and it was in top class condition. With free refreshments to keep us going and sunshine what more could we ask for. The racing was trouble free and at 2ft lb we had some close racing. A big thanks to all who supported this event I hope to see you there the next time.
