Here is the draw for sat , our first meeting of the season, you will note there is a number given beside your dog this will be a lifetime number assigned to that dog , this will make draws entries etc a lot easier for Andrea , im sure you will all understand , look forwards to seeing you all there :thumbsup:

Stake 1 - the Whipowill Trophy for 10 (not 8 as previously stated) mixed whippets

Hawkins - Spirit of Appin (30)

the Lurcher stake draw will be done on the day , also please remember there is a childrens stakes running too , open to all members children at just a pound a go!!! all entrants get a rosette although their fine for loose dog is to forfeit their rosette :sweating: (w00t)

had a chat with Andrea and Bob about the joint event and they are very willing and hopes it can be arranged, would be a great event to boost the EAWWC and the Uk Working Whippet club , will keep you updated :thumbsup:
 
Sadely cleo, queen of the nile is withdrawn through a leg injury. I contacted andrea this morning regarding the matter..

through not having another dog to enter we will have to miss this meeting :(

is stake 1 the straighter course? im sure i asked for all my girls to be entered into stake 2 ie the more zig zag one....... ?

we also asked to put ours into the zig zag too.
 
getting confused now..... can anyone clarify which stake is which? is the Zig Zag stake ie stake 2 the straighter course and Stake 1 the more bendy course which is truer to that which a hare would run?

think you got it right sarah,stake 1 will be more straighter.
 
My Bob has just spoken with Andrea......

Neither stake is straight - they only had 1 entry for the straight race.

both stakes are running the same course.

andrea did say that she would change the straighter course if the majority of owners wanted a more testing course.glad to hear it is so .looks like the sun cream needs to come out if they get the weather right 8) .looking forward to a good day :thumbsup: best of :luck: everyone

just had a great day lure coursing .boy was it warm well done bob and sarah with winterfell tinkerbell beating spirit of appin to win the whipowell trophy.a big well done to our millie vanya neolithic shadow beating highisland just jessie on winning the motorway trophy.all the dogs did themselves proud on such a warm day and demanding courses :thumbsup:a great day for the yorkshire dogs way to go :cheers:

for her first time lure coursing :wub:

 

I will remember not to wear my flip flops to that field

again........i was expecting grass :lol:
