HELEN RANG LYNDA TO SAY HER DAD ERIC WILSON HAS HAD A MAJOR STROKE LAST WEEK WHICH TOOK HIS SIGHT, SPEECH AND THE USE OF HIS RIGHT SIDE. KNOWING ERIC AND THE TOUGH NUT THAT HE IS HE'S SHOWING SIGNS OF A SLIGHT RECOVERY. WE WISH HIM ALL THE BEST. ERIC AND HIS LATE WIFE GLADYS WERE WELL KNOWN CHARACHTERS IN THE 70'S WITH THEIR HELENS LINE, I CAN SEE ERIC NOW WALKING UP THE TRACK MIDDLE OF WINTER WITH HIS SHIRT UNBUTTONED TO THE WAIST. HOPEFULY HE WILL GET BETTER AND OUT OF HOSPITAL FOR XMAS EVE AS HELEN HAS GOT A 80TH BIRTHDAY PARTY WAITING FOR HIM :luck:

Just been talking to Brian Shaw--

He sends his best wishes to Eric hopes he is well soon --as do I --

We had a good chat about old times and old names who like Eric were what we call colourful characters --

Lancaster old Members like Harold Oliphant famous for OLLIE'S MIRACLE- RUB The fumes would now be illegal never mind the rub (Yellow Rose all England rag Champion) -(RchSportsman --lure)--- to name just two--

Also old Arthur Kirkbride ---(dogs included) (Flat-Feet)Rag racing days -(Bill-Brown -BilkoxBrown Eagle)1968 when we changed from rag to lure at the L W R C)-----who is still going strong at the age of Ninety this Christmas-

Brian would like to be remembered to you all --he is ready for a new knee he's worn old one out he said

Steve
