I have just got an ex-racing greyhound and wondered if anyone knows how i find out what races she ran in. I think she may have run on flapper tracks and i have her ear tattoo and name. Thanks. Shes a real sweetie and has already claimed a spot on the sofa next to the whippet & lurcher!!

:) Have a look at greyhound-data website. Just key in the ear tatoos

Thanks, i did that but nothing came up for her. I typed in her name & got her litter sister. Does that mean she hasnt raced?

hiya

did you try this site http://www.greyhound-data.com/ it should give full details.

once youve got the dogs name and its own page up the 3rd bar down from the top has the race details.

best of british luck with your girl

go on to the greyhound data site and click on ear tattoo at the top then put in her tattoo number it should bring up her details

If she's only run on flapping tracks she's probably not registered so her races won't show up in the database.

Is she Irish bred (tattood in both ears)?

You luck thing thats what i want next a pure bred greyhound all mine are lurchers mainly whippet/greyhound. If you go on to greyhound data site and you put in your dogs racing name and year of birth everything you want to know will come up. Good luck with your greyhound. Clare x

yes shes irish bred, her names saratoga lily out of Droopys juninho & clanhane asgard, i found her sister & brothers on the greyhound data thingy but not her

Not all owners or trainers register dogs on greyhound data.

I have 1 that is on and 1 that is not. If your dog raced on registered British track you may be able to get some info from NGRC.

Do you have any pictures of your new girl?

Dog of that name has never run on a NGRC track.

Looks like she was a Flapper.

Could try Flappers Dream Forum to see if they remember her

I spoke to lady that owned her today and Lily raced in Ireland but just trailed in England. She is transfering ownership to me and gonna get a book (?) which has record of what Lily has raced in. It doesnt really matter to me if Lily wasnt very good but it will just be interesting to know. Meanwhile Lily has settled in lovely, its like shes always lived here.

I remember her mother, as she was an old coursing bred bitch. Her litter brother CHANCEY FELLA has run at my local track Longford and a few weeks ago won a supporting competiton on Cesarewitch final night in Mullingar.

Very cool Martin, her dad looks well smart. Theres a picture of Lily on Astley & Tyldesley miners club page. I dunno how to move it to here. I took her to watch the racing, she was mad keen to chase the lure. Its a shame she has a bad leg. Shes a lovely dog.
