I rescued my first greyhound in Feb of this year and I'm having difficulty in finding a safe place to let her off her lead! She has no recall abilities at the moment and I fear if I let her off, she will get lost or hurt herself :(

A field with a six foot fence around it would be ideal but we all know in the real world they don't exist! Please don't tell me to trust her to come back as the one and only time I let her off the lead in a 'safe' field, she got kicked by a horse!!

Please, can anybody help me and Bambi?

    Hiya,

Have you tried your local RSPCA centre? My local one (Aylesbury) has a huge grass field as an exercise area (with a massive metal fence round it so it's totally secure!) and for a small donation they will happily let you use it for a while (you don't have to have got your dog from them either). Perfect for letting your grey stretch her legs without any worry. Good luck with her.
