Any hints or tips on how to cheer up a hormonal girl?

She has only finished her season about a fortnight but is already into the throws of "oh no I couldn't possibly run..." and "play with my friends??? tsk no way, far to delicate for that..."

She had her season with no change of personality at all this time, no flirting, bonking or depression...but now she plods around her walks and refuses to move or play with daisy in the house...any ideas on how to get her out of it otherwise its going to be a long 2 months...we're due to go and visit friends of hers soon, so would like her not to be a grumpy mare...

Sorry, don't know the answer but sending a big hug to both of you :huggles: :huggles: :huggles:

I don't know the answer either but I hope she cheers up and reverts to type. Gracie has just finished her first season and we didn't notice any change in her personality, just the bleed, which was very light (and she was extremely clean) and the millions of extra wees needed. She was only eight months - I wonder if this makes a difference or whether it's just down to the individual bitch.

Hi Clair,

Pulsatilla from a health food shop can help, or have a look at Dorwest herbs site, just google them.

Boys can get moody too!!!!!!!!!! The scent of a bitch in season used to make my stud dog wilt and become miserable! Having run dogs and bitches for years, life is now much easier with two spayed girls and one castrated dog, only my little chap entire. :)
