Well I have to say a big WELL DONE to all who organised the english whippet derby last weekend. It was with out doubt the best w/end of racing we have ever attended. A good track, brilliant facilities, good company and well organised. A pat on the back to all who helped too. Congratulations go to Demolition Blue for winning the derby and to Striesand for winning the bank holliday Monday open with dem blue in runner up position. I would also like to say a big THANKS to a woderfull couple who loaned us their caravan for the w/e, they are Garry and Denise Bailey one of the nicest couples in whippet racing, cheers, hope to see u all down devon bye for now

I must say the English Whippet Derby is the best venue ive ever attended. The track was first class if its ever there again i will be back and wee Robbie liked it too. We Scots has a fantastic weekend.Well done to everyone at Newton Aycliffe W.R.C

I would just like to say that I am pleased that the English Whippet Derby is returning to Newton Aycliffe in 2003 and I hope that it is as good as it was in 2002. But if anyone could clear up the dates published in wn I would be greatfull. The dates published are19/21 April with a added prize money open on 22nd April. Is this a mistake or is the Derby now a three day event also there is a open at Asfordby on 20th April. I have checked the tell-me-1st.com website but at this time its no help so if anyone can shed a light on the dates it would help. Good luck with the Derby hope to see you there.

HI, I do believe the NWRF open is being held at newton aycliffe on the monday.......and if the english derby is as good as it was last year it will be one open not to miss

I CARN;T WAIT FOR DERBY......YES WE NEED SOME FED OPENS UP THIS WAY BUT I KNOW THERES NO REPS AROUND HERE SO THAT THE AWY IT GOES

i really enjoyed the english derby it was the best run event and atmosphere that i have attended yet, it would be great if it was held there again this year, but holding fed opens there would be rubbish for us as we would have to travel nearly 4 hours just to get there.
