Does anyone have an opinion on Nutro complete? New pup Minnow was already on the puppy version, and she's doing well-although I have reduced the amounts, cos she prefers the cooked fish and meat I serve up! The thing is, I've been giving the older boy Nutro Adult, Lamb and Rice, so he won't eat all the puppy food-(it has 27% protein.). He seems to be putting on weight quickly, and he doesn't need to. Coat very shiny tho, it must be said, as promised on bag! I'm wondering whether Nutro is very fatty or something?

Check the ingrediants on the bag - perhaps it has a lot of oil. I would certainly change if he is piling weight on like that!!

Thanks Jools- I'll probably have to find another brand as it does have a lot of fat. Shame, as

good otherwise; no artificial anything, kelp, dried lamb 26%, etc etc.

Nutro is an excellent complete mix maybe you just need to feed less to the adult dog, as you said it's doing every thing it says on the bag sounds like a good reason to stick with it
