It’s been a while since I last posted - those that remember Freddie know he has been unwell at times but is currently doing well all things considered. He started having very loose bowel movements (about every 3 or 4 days - what can only be described as a massive cow pat) The vets were not overly concerned but it was bothering me so I decided to try him on some fibre supplement. This appears to have been a miracle cure and firmed things up nicely. The problem we now have though is that he needs a no 2 at about 6am. This is only during the week when he is disturbed by my partner getting up for work - weekends he can seem to hold it. I just wondered if there is anything I can do? I am grateful it works and also grateful he doesn’t need to go in the night but he has proved he can hold it at weekends. He is currently still on 3 meals a day due to health problems 8.30, 13.30 and 19.30. I know I could put some sweetcorn in his meal to see which meal is causing this but don’t see how this would help - if he needs to go he needs to go. Any suggestions? Guess it’s the lesser of 2 evils? I have tried using the supplement in the morning instead of at night and it doesn’t seem to make any difference. Thanks in advance

The sweetcorn would, as you say, show which meal he was passing, then you could make it a little later so in theory he could hold it longer.

But the clocks go forward in less than three weeks so you could just keep him on GMT meal times.
