Please PM me if there is a subject/thread you'd like to see here.
Dehydration
This is a thread I started last year when I was a bit worried about my new pup on a really hot day in August.
If anyone would like to add any experiences or advice which they think might help other members, please reply to this FAQ thread (don't reply to the link about Josie below, because your information might be lost on page 4 or 5 of an already long thread).
Head your reply "Dehydration Advice". Thanks!
Help... is Josie ill? (pale gums, vomiting yellow frothy stuff)
Stings - bee and wasp
This thread has a few good tips, ranging from lavendar oil, to aloe vera, to "winegar for wasps and bi-carb for bees"...
the supermodel has been stung...
First Aid Supplies
First Aid Box - what's in yours?
Lectric Soda in Australia... and antihistamines in the UK
Scar tissue
Reducing scarring - what do you use?
edited to add in a recent recommendation by an aromatherapist for scar reduction - rosehip seed oil. I've recently used this myself on poor Josie after her deer-chasing injuries, with very impressive results! I bought it online after shopping around - the cheapest was £7 with free p&p so PM me if you'd like to use the same online shop
An added bonus is that it has "anti-aging properties" so has other uses for those of us over-40 who are getting a bit desperate to reverse the signs of aging :- "
Choking Scare
Choking scare thread from Sept 04
Sore pads
what to put on sore pads
treating sore pads
 Injured toes and nails
Injured toe - help!
Torn nail
Ouch - torn nail, what do I do?

In some cases members have veterinary or medical qualifications.
However, all FAQ threads and posts are based on experience and anecdotal evidence.
Nothing can be assumed to be "research-based" and FAQ is offered simply as help and advice, not a substitute for consulting your vet or other knowledgeable body.
If you have a veterinary concern you must consult a vet.
