First Injection

my 9 week staff puppy had his first injection on saturday afternoon, he was fine saturday, last night he was very very lethargic, didn't want food, had horrendous dirrohea over night, has been alot brighter today but still has dirrohea, i've given him some scrambled egg and he ate it but wondered if this is anything to do with the injection, i never had this with my other dog..............

it can be related to the injection, especially if the pup's immune system might have been weaker prior to the vaccination. with diarrhea a scrambled egg is not gonna help, normally you'd starve the dog for 24 hours and then try giving it some boiled rice and chicken or a specific dry food for the digestive system.

if the diarrhea is horrendous the pup risks dehydration. I would go back to the vet asap just to be on the safe side.

if hes no better tomorrow id be straight back to the vets , you cant leave puppies poorly for too long

thanks very much for the replys, he is back to his normal naughty self tonight, drinking fine and eating fine, think it might of just been the effects of the injection, he had a normal poo tonight so either the eggs worked or he is just back to his usual self. many many thanks again
