:wacko: HI i have an 8 month old cocker spaniel bitch. there are no signs of her first season yet. she is showing signs of being 'randy' but will i know definately when she has her season

Im not sure when Spaniels come into season, but you will definately know when she is !!!

My Lupin started her first season at 8 months (she's whippet sized) so guess a Cocker could be anytime now too.

Her rear end will become a bit swollen & donut shaped and she'll start dripping blood around the place after a few days. (sorry if too graphic) so yes you will notice.

She's unlikely to be interested or interesting to dogs until about 8/9th day and it goes on for about 3 weeks so best keep her on the lead and avoid busy dog walking times.
