Hi,
I need to fitten My bull x (not a big bull x) whippet x greyhound - see photos.
I try to let all my dogs run off the lead (where possible) and go on more field walks.
He is very very very strong and pulls on the lead constantly. Weve tried, halti, harness, all the tricks (my gdad and uncle are The MOD's head dog trainers so we get alot of help from them but they mainly work with GSD not a mad lurcher!) and finally a chain - i dont want to use a pinch collar.
He needs to get fitter for the racing etc, but when hes off the lead with the other dogs he is a bull in a china shop - dives in the bushes and thorns looking for rabbits, and comes out injured.
So when hes off the lead gets injured, when he is on the lead hes too strong for little me!! :b
Now if anyone reconises him from shows he is a totally different dog with his tiny show lead on!! hes strange!
Hes obviously even worse when our other dogs happily run free and he cant. and if i take them seperate he eats the house!
Yesterday he buggered off for half hour making me late for work. I thought he'd been pinched.
I know some people will say that is a bull x for you (i didnt mean to get him - he was a rescued pup who didnt look bull x at 14weeks old!!!)
So any ideas please.
I have to walk 2/3 other welbehaved lurchers with him
