Hello,

Wondering if anyone has gone through this with their dogs and knows of any remedies.

I have a 7 year old Lakeland x Parsons. He has always suffered with flatulence but recently it has been none stop and smells awful - like really bad. He has also taken to eating mud.

Now we've had him at the vets and they cant find anything to be wrong. We feed him on Hills Science Plan. He has the odd treats but other than that its a basic diet.

Please help/advise

Thanks Shannon

Try using a good quality grain free kibble.

There will be much less undigestable ingredients such as grains therefor less problem fillers for the stomach to have difficulites with.

Your chaps poos will become very much smaller and firmer with very little smell !

Orijen, Acana, and Millies wolfheart are all very good grain free products. (Acana does have some oats) Millies Wolfheart prices online include delivery!

Because of the quality ingredients much less is needed to be fed so price wise it may not be any more expensive than the kibble that you are feeing at the moment.

Eating mud.

Quiet often our dogs will take to digging up and pulling grass roots, how much soil etc they actually consume I do not know, but I never stop them as it is quiet a harmless and natural thing to do
