Hi All, I'm just about to stop paying for a monthly pet plan with my vet. I was sure I'd be able to buy flea and worm treatment for my 6 year old cocker spaniel online, but all I can find seems to need to be vet clinics only. Any recommendations?

Unfortunately, the only effective treatments are the prescription only ones. You can get a prescription from your vet to buy them online. They are used to it. They will make a charge.

Just had a chat about lungworm and my vet is yet to see a case here in East Anglia. I have opted, therefore, to treat the fleas as and when I see one. Not ideal if you have, or live close to, cats. We do not so I am going to take the risk. My dog reacts very badly to the spot on treatments. My vet recommended Bravecto as an all round good flea and worm treatment. it is a tablet given every four months. That is what I will go for if I need to.

My vet recommended advantage at £10.50per capsule I bought a pack of 4 on Amazon for £14
