As some of you know we were interviewed last Saturday by the BBC about Whippet Racing in our area for their program FLOG IT (cheers Jac & Terry NOT!), anyone who's watched it will know they centre around the area's history and at the end they do an evaluation on things people want to sell. This particular evaluation day is being filmed in Lancashire so is being based around the mining in this area. The producer and director came to meet up with us and were keen to get to know all our gang and our racing experiences, we were interviewed for a good hour and they wanted to see all my old black & white pictures from the 60's.

The film crew and their presenter will be coming back again on the 9th October to film some racing at the club and they want to start off with one of the whippets being filmed at the old colliery near us (Can just see me & Paddy Whoppet in a flat cap!).

So anyone who can make that date (it's a Friday) it'd be fab if you could come over and be involved in the filming, i'll post times nearer the day.

Might just make that Vicky  quite like the presenter of Flog It :- :D Don't know what a flat cap will do for your fashion status though

It would be a good idea to get Dia (gabbitas) to come up with her balls, they might be worth a bob or two.

The cameras are coming back to Gin Pit this Friday, around 2pm if anyone can make it we'd be really grateful as most of the club dogs have gone onto the bends now. If you can come, let me know what dogs you'll be bringing as the bbc want to put the dogs names in a hat for the presenter to pick out, whatever he picks out will be his dog for the day.

They also want to video the dogs being weighed in etc.

Everything went well, all the dogs were really well behaved and Riley didn't get his lipstick out lol.

Big thanks to everyone that came, it's really appreciated

Paddy whop snatched sausage from the presenters hand and ran off into the distance at the pit :b but behaved himself in the second shoot

Well I was over the moon because for once Riley the peddy whippet didn't try to hump the dogs at the pick up!!

No Mark, I didn't sedate him!
