Was realy glad i went to this one,as i got my eyes open to a certain someone. But thats another story, and Kirsty,Alannah, and myself, realy enjoyed the day.The racing was what we went for,and although we didn't do at all well in the unders,as Trouble realy lived up to her name this time, and couldn't get out of her namesake,as we'll see later in the pix.But thats racing, and we are happy that all came, and went home injury free.Think, and hope that goes for everyone. The big field was unraceable, and it was hoped that an even longer run might be had,at the back of the house. This turned out to be a bit iffy too,and Matt didn't want to put the dogs at risk,so again it all took place on the lawn at the front of the house. As i said in another thread.Ive never seen so many folk watch lurcher n terrier racing ,for quite some years. It was great to se Kirsty's dog Danny race again,as 5 weeks ago,he almost broke both his wrists, after jumping over 2 of the other dogs, and finding that he still had to come another 8/9 feet from the high bank he was up on,before he got the landing gear down.Which failed, with a squeel,as he's buckled both wrists on the landing, and busted them too.Thanfully all that's left,is the scars, and the old landing gear seems to have remained intact. This was his 1st run at a lure since that day,as he never got to race last week.So i was a wee bit worried. He did us proud again though, along with his kennel mate,Reni.Who was reserve over 23 inch racing champion. These two were running neck n neck before Danny's accident, and it seems to have remained the same up till now.The weather was great, and i think everyone had a great time, with a few good old laughs.Rose's two,and Hugo, are realy fast wee dog's,and a credit to their owners.Buster was giving the run of his life against Deago, till the lure went over the hill and for a split second he didn't know whether to stop or go on,till he caught sight of it again. But Deago has no brakes in his make up,and you dont fall asleep when he's at youre ass end.Don't think Buster would have had the finishing power in him,to have stayed in front. But when you can get in front of that boy at any stage of a race, then that's summit that dont happen too often. The wee dog is a flyer. The final would have been interesting, had all dogs got a good clear, clean run.But my two decided to play bumper cars.Well Buster did anyow, and tried his bestest,to get one over on Trouble for a change. But,that's dogs.Well done Rose, and Eddie. You deserved that one.Cant wait till Shanes Castle now.Deidrie has already posted most of the still shots that she took of various winners n stuff. So thanks Deidrie,as it save's me the bother, and Ian has put on a few action shots too, from a different angle.Guess all that's leftfor me now,is to put up what i got, through my wee bit of glass. Will start with a few show pix n stuff.
Only got one shot of the terriers,as i couldn't get in no where,to take any.
