Today we exhibited Flynn at Clitheroe and district show, it was Fynns and our maiden show!. When we arrived it was mad busy and very overwhelming, but we found our ring and soon got talking to some good people. We were very organised and had packed up everything but the kitchen sink.

The experinced exhibitors had already scanned the programme to see who's there, and had soon sniffed out the newbies, (us) ! Much to our suprise the chatter was about who had turned up with the dog with Ros Hollands breed line, (Elmanash) that was us to.

The first class was puppy, Flynn struggled a little with his stack, but i dont think i performed brill either, we got a 3rd.

Next up was Junior, flynn settled well and i had learned alot from the previous class and much to our suprise, he was awarded 1st!!

A couple of people had suggested we dont enter Pg and O, but the judge said i should carry on for the learning experence.

In PG flynn got a 2nd and also 2nd in his final class. The judge also had me stack Flynn on his own in the ring and took some voice details down on a dictaphone??. she also exclaimed that he would of won puppy but for our stack.

Overall an axcellent day, great results, and lots of excellent feed back from some other exhibitors. It was a massive learning exercise for Flynn and I in the ring and Annmarie out of the ring.

Looking forward to the North West Counties show on the 29th.

Well done! Glad you enjoyed your day out.

Well Done Flynn on you first venture into the world of dog showing, I so love your description of your day, it made me chuckle a little. My boy Dylan is a Denimonde and has lots of Elmanash in his breeding so I am more than a little interested in your day, and I know Linda will delighted. I am being very nosey now but who was the judge?

Jenny

I'm glad you had such a positive experience. Judges often do a critique of dogs that placed first and second, which is probably why she was speakiing into a dictaphone. You should try and find out when and where (and if) the critique is published (often Dog World or Our Dogs).

Now you've had your practice, I wouldn't advise entering the same dog in more than two classes in the same show. But it turned out worthwhile for you this time round.

Well done to you both,& of course young  Flyn jnr.

Please don't forget that Linda & myself are always at the end of the phone if you need any help & advice!!!

Thanks for your post. We had a throughly excellent day. Probably very fortunate to be around such friendly other exhibitors. The judge was, Jean Hallett.

We had a great experience so fortunate especially for our first. Yes the general opinion is that Flynn may have been entered into to many classes, but it was always with the notion in mind to see how he is through out and possibly with draw from 2 classes. It did turn out well for us, the next show he is only in 2. Begginers luck!?

Thanks for your kind comments.

Well done! That's lovely, that you did so well and had such a good time

Congratulations

Well done on your first show, and well done to Flynn. I too have Elmanash breeding, (w00t) , not me personally of course, my dogs (w00t)

Well done, excellent commentary!

Look out in Dog World and Our Dogs for the write up of the show, then you'll see what the judge thought about Flynn ;0)
