A brilliant day down in the New Forest today, I think you will have to go a long way to beat the lovely surroundings of this clubs track. Many of you will have already been down there and camped, their week-end opens in July should be a great success. If you have never been, give it a go I think you will more than
satisfied as to what is on offer. They have a lovely little village shopping precint
with all the neccessary amenities. today the Farmers Market was on, they have the usual pubs where you can have a quiet drink and a meal, the bank is there
and the co-op was re-opened today after having extensive alterations done.
The bakers shop is full of freshly baked goodies, there is nothing nicer that freshly baked crusty bread, and the cream cakes are to die for (oh my there goes the diet again ) still tomorrow is another day
A good days racing thanks to Amanda, Mick and Lesley for a realy pleasant day.
It wasn't a bad entry considering it is a Saturday, 53 dogs but some fantastic close finishes.
Once again very few pups around only 2 at this open, but the yearling classes are gathering momentum. The scratch races always attract a lot of excitement
and it was no different today, some great races and finishes.
I think we all got a little sun burnt but I wouldn't have missed this for anything
we have come home very relaxed and ready to open a couple of bottles of wine
with a meal to round off a perfect day.
For those of you who had to travel quite a distance home I hope you had a safe journey, and I look forward to seeing you on the open racing circuit.
kind regards to you all Doreen
