Hi, just to remind everyone that this New Forest's week-end open is in August.
Arrangements have been made with the groundsman to start watering the track
from the Thursday evening, so even if we get the lovely dry weather that we are all hoping for, we will be able to keep the track running surface nice and moist.
We have a key to the showers and toilet block, so these will be available
at all times. We have also spoken to the chap who owns the field where the campers can stay next to the car park, and he is going to make sure that the grass is cut.
There will be a catering van on site so that anyone who does not want to cook
their early morning breakfast can grab some bacon, sausage, and eggs from him.
He will also do food through out the rest of the day.
For anyone who has never been to this venue the village shopping centre
is a ten minute walk from the track, through the park ( this has a paddling pool and play area for the children. ) It is a lovely quaint place and can cater for all your food and drink needs. There is also a bank atm should you need it.
For our memebrs information there will be a meeting on Sunday July 6th
before racing to discuss what plans are already in place and what else needs to be done. If members have any ideas please come along and have a chat about it.
Hope to see you all on Wednesday evening for club racing, we will be there from
4pm
best wishes
Doreen
