Fordingbridge Wrc had their AGM today and we now have some information concerning our camping week-end in July 2011.
In previous years we have had access to the field adjacent to the track, but this has now been leased to the Fordingbridge Rugby Club.
The Fordingbridge Town Council who own the ground that we have our race track on have agreed to let us camp on the ground along side our track.
This actually is ideal, as those of you who have camped with us before will know that it is just behind the club house and shower block.
The river with the wild life and fishing, runs along the track, but there is plenty of grassy area to accomodate the caravans & tents, but we must ensure
that we park the caravans and tents within the safety guide lines. In previous years racers have been able to just turn up and camp on the field,
next year camping will be by STRICLTLY BOOKING A SPACE ONLY, so that we can monitor how many we need to accomodate.
If you are interested in camping with us please can you pm me to book your place, or if you need to speak to me to discuss it I can let you have my contact number. Anyone who does book will be aked to confirm their booking 1 week before our event , this is so that your place can be offered to someone else
on the reserve list that we will keep, in the event that you can't make it.
For the members who couldn't attend the AGM today there will be club racing on Sunday 14th Nov & Sunday 21st Nov.
The first official start for club racing in 2011 will be Feb 6th weather permitting. I will of course be sending out a news letter giving you a complete update
as to the outcome of the AGM
