Made the most of the frosty weather to get in a couple of hours ferreting with my lad Harry and Gyp and Suzie

The place we had arranged to visit has been hit fairly hard by myxie, but we managed to find some healthy rabbits about .

Managed 8 good rabbits plus a few myxied that the dogs picked up that are fit only for ferret food :(

Gypsy and Suzie put in some good work as usual and had some good runs. The pic of them running the rabbit shows probably the best course of the day. The rabbit headed out into the field and turned off the fence , Gypsy eventually taking it with a nice strike as Suzie pressured it The ferrets worked well, had one lengthy layup when the ferret came across a myxie case that had run to ground. It kept moving despite our best efforts to dig it out, but eventually we got it .

Beautiful weather today, bloody cold though probably only about 3deg max . Hopefully the frost will kill off the myxie on this place as it has been a very productive place in the past

Pictures are courtesy of Harry!!
