Discovered a Chicken Ready Meal at the bottom of my Freezer - but it is three years old!  Anyone know if I can safely defrost and cook it?

Thanks (hopefully)

I'm no expert but I'd probably give it a go.  My husband would t touch it with a barge pole!!  I'm guessing that being frozen for so long would just reduce quality rather than safety.   Let us know how you get on if you're able to, of course! Lol

We have just had a roast chicken for dinner, it was found deep down in the freezer by my husband, I have absolutely no Idea how old it would be.

It was disgusting, it tasted foul and smelt horrible!!!!!!!!!!

The girls will have my helping of roasted chicken tomorrow with their dinners but husband says he will eat what is left on the carcass cold tomorrow. ( I won't stop him ) ! ha ha.

Good luck then Wotho!!!  Your husband is a lot braver than mine excuse me!

He seems ok today !

No complaints yet.!

Well, what can I say??  Based on the overall opinions received  (see first 'confident' pic)  .....

I looked at the Chicken Meal ... and the Chicken Meal looked at me!  ... and 'we' decided that the Chicken Meal would not be consumed I could not take the stress of shall or shall not!!
